Akbar Alikhan is a Ventura County native that has worked for both public agencies and private industry in the area. Most recently, Akbar  worked with Raftelis Financial Consultants, where he provided financial planning and rate consulting services to many agencies throughout the County. Previously, he was with the City of Thousand Oaks, as an analyst in the City's Public Works Department.

Akbar holds a bachelors degree in Economics and a Masters of Public Administration, both from Cornell University.
